I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to you all as the Executive Director of Burbrella Online Microschool, an innovative online microschool dedicated to providing an exceptional education experience in the digital age.
At Burbrella Online Microschool, we believe that education should be dynamic, personalized, and tailored to the unique needs of each learner. At Burbrella Online Microschool SEL nurtures empathy, allowing children to understand and share the feelings of others. Through activities that promote perspective-taking and empathy-building, children develop a compassionate mindset. How do We Empower Learners?
🔍 Personalized Learning: We believe that every student is unique, with diverse strengths, interests, and learning styles. Our online microschool is designed to provide personalized learning experiences that cater to individual student needs using a learning model called ability groups. Ability groups are used to empower students to take ownership of their learning based on their current academic needs with the support of a teacher, and peers. We foster a deep sense of engagement, motivation, and curiosity by using national learning standards skills, learners academic needs and our learning approaches (play, nature, project and STEAM) to design curriculum.
🚀 Embracing Student Interests: We celebrate and embrace the passions and interests of our students. Our curriculum is designed to be flexible, allowing students to explore their interests and align their learning with their individual goals and aspirations. We encourage students to pursue projects, research, and activities that ignite their curiosity, creating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.
💡 Nurturing a Homeschool-Like Feeling: We believe in fostering a sense of community, trust, and collaboration akin to a homeschool setting virtually . Our online microschool provides a warm and nurturing virtual environment where students build meaningful relationships with their peers and educators. This close-knit community allows for individualized attention, mentorship, and holistic support. Our online microschool also encourages learners to engage in social groups, pen pals, and in person meet ups based on common interest with friends.
🌈 Curriculum Aligned to Student Needs: While embracing a non-traditional approach, we are committed to ensuring our students meet core academic standards using the national learning standards. We curate a diverse range of learning experiences that align with these standards, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education. However, we believe in adapting the curriculum to student needs, making it relevant, meaningful, and applicable to their lives. All learners will engage in a pre assessment to determine their needs at the beginning of the school year. The Assessment window opens two weeks before the start of the semester.

I’m not a paid parent nor I wasn’t asked to do a review. I’m just a parent who knows that ever since she have joined the family online, everything have changed for the better. I am always going to give a shout out to who deserves it.
She is going to beat Learning Disabilities in reading, math, and writing! She got this because she has an awesome team (home and school) finally! It makes a huge difference when there is collaboration. I want to thank Burbrella Learning Academy Inc for making sure her learning is a priority!

My daughter started at Burbrella fall of 2022. Every morning she's excited to go to class with Mrs. Pollard or Ms. Wells. WE made sure to help her be able to read the clock and set her own alarms for class because she never wanted to miss a thing. We struggled figuring out our school path after having horrible experiences with traditional school. Being a part of Burbrella has helped her to enjoy learning but also build relationships with children all over the country.
Where do I begin? Ms Wells has been amazing with my son she has been very patient and has learned and adapted to his specific needs and that's great. It's helped him grow as a student and so much to the point that he loved and anticipated class times and to share all the good news with Ms Wells. Her lessons were so much fun and her patience led my son to want to continue learning and he wanted to do it to make her proud and to tell her all the things that he recognized throughout his day-to-day life. She's amazing and if there is a such thing as a raise she needs a few raises because she's awesome.
